​ADAPTIVE RE-USE

​​An underutilized 140+ year old building on the downtown square was resurrected through this intensive renovation process. A previously limited-use storage area was converted into a thriving retail space. 

The extreme renovation included replacement of the interior foundation system, reconstruction of the main floor level, reinforcement of the roof system and exterior walls, removal and replacement of two exterior bearing walls, sub-grade foundation shoring, and exterior water management reconfiguration and many other on-the-fly design solutions.
